A veld fire killed ten people, who were part of a team trying to douse the inferno, at a farm in Esigodini, Matabeleland on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire broke out at the farm reportedly belonging to a Abel Moyo and a team comprising 15 people tried to put it out.
As they were fighting the veld fire, it is said strong winds blew trapping the fighters in the fire.
The ten were trapped and killed in the fire while four suffered varying degrees of burns and one escaped the fire.
Security personnel from different departments attended to the incident and the bodies of the deceased were sent to Esigodini Hospital Mortuary.
